– Discussions centred around food security, pharmaceuticals, climate action, blue economy development, science and technology, security in Nigeria, and the West African region.
– The secretary expressed the readiness of United States’s firms toinvests massively in Nigeria, especially in the area of technology development.
– Already, tech giants from the US have teamed up with Nigerian partners to help meet President Bola Tinubu’s one million digital jobs initiative.
– A pledge of $45m for security was made for Nigeria and other West African countries.
– President Bola Tinubu also used the opportunity to restate the need for Nigeria to have a seat on the United Nations Security Council.
