Federal government has Commission the first largest Lithium processing plant in Nasarawa State geared towards harnessing the solid mineral potentials in the Country as well as enhancing the nation’s Economy thereby creating job opportunities for the teaming unemployed youths.
The commissioning of the One hundred million US Dollars Lithium Processing Plant in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by Mr. President was held recently.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while commissioning of the Lithium Processing factory Avatar Energy said it has the Capacity to produce four thousand metric tonnes of Lithium per day as well as provide about four thousand job opportunities for the teeming youths, explained that the lithium battery processing plant was a collaboration between Nasarawa State government and a Chinese firm in line with the renewed hope Agenda of his administration.
The president who was represented by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, noted that Nigeria has abundant mineral deposits that will stimulate the nation’s Economy through revenue generation and job creation when properly harnessed and utilized.
On his part, the Minister of Solid Minerals Dele Alake acknowledge the relentless efforts of governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State towards actualization of the project, equally, also disclose that Federal Government would no longer issue Mining licenses to prospective investors pointed out that prospective miners would be given adequate time to comply with the new value addition guidelines.
Governor Sule Commended the Federal Government for its continuous efforts towards the actualization of the lithium battery processing plant in Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule also called on other prospective investors to come and invest in the State as the state is open for diverse investment opportunities.
On his part executive Director of the Chinese Mining firm (AVATAR ENERGY) Mr. ZHU XINGJIAN explained that the lithium Processing factory is the first project in Nigeria promising to scale up their investment in the Country.
